just bought a Hotpoint WD22 from ebay for 99p as a non runner,just checked the bearings and all is good,whipped the lid off and saw the carbon deposits on the drum,removed the brushes and they are worn out,gave them a little tug just to test them and it sprang into life!(new brushes on order)...
