They are compatible . The old valves used to be a dual valve the new ones are a single valve replacement .

Checked the actuator out and it's fine program switches are not reseting when latch is opened so I would say it's the selector switch itself.

Not reversing motor It has a kids 18 motor and a drain solenoid you can here the signature snap when it opens
