Louie,
I just looked at the ad that you posted today and it looked pretty clear to me and I’m viewing it on an iPad. The print was legible for me.

Ditto here Louis! Both are clear as a bell on my iPad too. Thanks Alan for incorporating both of these well liked features to the new AW format! You are really doing an impressive job with this website and its much appreciated that you are listening to our members just like Robert did before...
Matt,
I believe that you just need to click on “view thread” directly below the post in all the jumbled words and all the photos in the thread can be viewed. They don’t automatically come up like they used to, but all the photos seem to be crystal clear.

I didn’t have to reset my password. I entered my USER NAME, not my REAL name and then entered my same password and got right on.
I almost didn’t enter my user name because the login page directed “enter name”, but then my common sense got the better of me and I realized that my password was...
Re:#40
Thanks Alan for updating the upgrade info on my user info page. My current upgraded membership expires in 10 days and now I have the info available to me so I can make an informed decision. I don’t envy you, you are going to have LOTS of questions from all of us on AW until we get more...
Alan,
So, I looked at my member page and it now shows $96.00 annually for Platinum, instead of $200.00, but this is still more than I’m willing to pay. There is mention of other upgraded levels from $20 to $30 per year, but for the life of me I can’t find anywhere on the site that gives any...
I was able to log in with my old password without any trouble, I just entered my user name and the password got right on. The new site format will take a bit to get used to, but there are some things that are nice too. I’ll give myself time to adjust to the new format.

Robert,
Thanks for all that you’ve done for all these years to keep these websites up and running! Also, thanks for taking the care to hand them over to someone else that you trust to keep them up and running. I can’t imagine that anyone else can ever do it as well as you.
Congratulations on...
My maternal grandparents purchased a brand new track home in 1955 with a GE AEK and it had a turquoise GE wall oven just like this one, along with a GE stove top, DW and WD combo built into the cabinet next to the DW.
All the buyers in the neighborhood immediately had problems with the...
My recommendation would also be a GE Smooth Top. Like Mike in reply #6 I’ve also owned GE electric stoves for the last 20 years, two coil tops and the current smooth top and I’ve liked everyone of them, but the current smooth top with a self cleaning oven is hands down the best. I’ve never...
Yeah, and they INSIST that you purchase a dryer installation kit for about $35.00 with that cheap ass foil vent tubing! Whatever happened to pride in workmanship?
Eddie
I remember using Easy Off in the glass jar with the handle attached to the lid. At least you didn’t have to breathe the fumes of the spray on Easy Off.

I’ve found from over 60 years of cooking that the ONLY way to keep a stove top clean is to wipe it down thoroughly with a cloth, hot water and soap EVERY time I cook on it. I keep a wet dish cloth by the stove while I’m cooking and wipe off the spills and splatters right away and then when I...
The gas stoves that I can recall from my childhood were all vented to the outside with a stove pipe and that’s maybe why we never suffered any ill effects from their use. Most modern gas stoves aren’t vented to the outside.
The last gas stove I had was in the condo we lived in before moving to...
