    67' Frigidaire Imperial Rapidry1000

NEVER!!!!!! Lubricate a Rollermatic mechanism!!!! Keep any lubricants away from the rollers or any surface they contact!! If it's going off balance, make sure the load is distributed evenly (in quadrants) in the tub.

What can you tell me about this Hotpoint dryer?

Hi Peter! Yes, I included a picture of the console with the same picture of the model/serial tag (it's photo 2 of 2). I was wondering if by the serial number we could determine the date of manufacture. It is an electric dryer that we use at our church summer camp. thanks! Dave

What can you tell me about this Hotpoint dryer?

This wasn't part of the "Lady Executive" line was it? I couldn't believe how quiet it ran and how quickly it dried. I wish the matching washer was with it, it's paired up with a newer Speed Queen washer.

What can you tell me about this Hotpoint dryer?

At our church's summer camp, we have this dryer that works amazingly well for its age. What can you tell me about it? I have attached a picture of the console as well as the model and serial number plate.

    50s-60s Kenmore?

Yup, it's a 1963 Kenmore Visimatic. My YiaYia had one (Greek for Grandmother). it had what appeared to be a pregnant RotoSwirl agitator and a lid mounted brush-style lint filter.

Next time I'm there I'll have to get the model number off of the machine. Thank you so much for the research though :-)

Check out the Hotpoint dryer in use at our local campsite

Can someone tell me a bit about it and perhaps an age? It looks like it could be a Silhouette, but it doesn't say anywhere on the panel. It's incredibly quiet, and dries fast!

General Electric appliances in turquoise from 1962.

are you sure it's '62? That DW looks more like '66 IIRC.....

    Childhood Kitchens

Right out of the Dick Van Dyke Show My parent's house was built in 1961, and the kitchen appliances were Caloric. We had the exact wall oven and gas cooktop that was on the Dick Van Dyke show. They also had a 1959 GE fridge with the swing-out shelves the lower freezer (from their previous...

GE filter Flo up and running

Just a guess.... What is the AC frequency in Australia? 50Hz or 60Hz? Do you think that would make a difference? Is there any listing of frequency on the motor, timer or the washer itself?? Dave.

Well, the 8-year old Calypso died the other day...So here's my new daily driver:

Joelippard... I don't think that link is accurate...it is saying that it could have been manufactured between 1973 and 1983. Way off! However Frigidaire made a WCIL model in the 1-18 format back then too. Wigwag, if I'm not mistaken this was the only year for this control panel. The '65...

Well, the 8-year old Calypso died the other day...So here's my new daily driver:

the other nite my wife put it through it's paces. Comforters, jeans, etc. It spun dried the clothes drier than the Calypso ever did! Yeah, Appnut... I can understand how, with age, those buttons can become brittle and fail, care is always used with that machine. I can only assume that this...

Well, the 8-year old Calypso died the other day...So here's my new daily driver:

So, here's the story...... One of my fellow firefighers said that he had an old washer in his basement that he needed to get rid of. He knew I liked tinkering with mechanical things and asked if I would like it. I asked him what brand it was, but he wasn't sure. I went over with my nephew...
