Speed Queen experts Help Plz. Blanket Disintegration UGH

Thank you all. I will try the steamer/brush suggestion & bleach more often. I do try to leave both SQ door & detergent tray open a bit but 🤷🏻‍♀️ Overall i love my SQ, except for these 2 areas… Why cant the chamber b 1 molded unit w/o all those seams 😖 Ran couple empty cycles- trap still...

Speed Queen experts Help Plz. Blanket Disintegration UGH

YES it was a mess... Thank you John, I couldnt figure out how that foreign object trap is suppose to protect the pump. But feel much reassured by yr comments. I will give my beloved SQ a whirl. BTW, on tangent. How the heck do ppl 1) clean the detergent assembly HOUSING -- mold w/in all the...

Speed Queen experts Help Plz. Blanket Disintegration UGH

I LOVE my SQ FL washer. Made big mistake & washed Vellux blanket which disintegrated into million tiny tiny pieces. Checked foreign object trap under machine & no bits found there. What now? Could some foam bits have gotten thru drum holes into hose/pump? would running several empty cycles...

    Speed Queen FL water valve

That would make too much sense?! Hope to get heater flushed this week. & get screen at least on faucet side... Sent pixs to plumber- he thinks needs dielectric union. Maybe this is where he meant at recirculating pump?

    Speed Queen FL water valve

Valve already removed from machine. Didnt think to ask repair guy at the time; i didnt realize only one screen is clogged. doubt it mattered to him. Just wondered if anyone can tell which intake on it is the clogged one by the orientation. Is there a set convention for these valves? Or...

    Speed Queen FL water valve

Yes, i wondered why filter/screen isnt at faucet. Awfully complicated having to move machine, remove back panel to get to valve! Requires service as i cant budge the 500 lb SQ. As only one of the 2 screens is affected. Which is it- can anyone tell me if it’s the Hot or cold? ( part number...

    Speed Queen FL water valve

Less than 2yr old SQ FL started giving intermittent NF error code. Repair replaced water valve- one screen was clogged with crystal/grit like material. House is on city water (a recirculting pump put in few years ago for better hot water supply to the far side of house - - where washer is at)...

Speed queen FL mold & mildew smell

Love SQ FL. Now need dryer! Have had FL SQ washer 7 months now. Beautiful machine. Love the quiet spin (after installers returned & unlocked the back legs! - vibration was so bad that I had to video & show to salesperson). If cycle is set for 23 minutes, then that's how long it runs. Not...

    Speed Queen

Thank you for replies. Henene4 - by "counter screw" do you mean the nut that should have been locked once leg is adjusted? I showed dealer agent my video. He wasn't impressed, said they all vibrate. I told him getting worse & I didn't think was leveled or leg locked at installation. . So I...

    Speed Queen

Just splurged on Speed Queen FL. Beautiful machine. Have done less than 10 loads. However, vibration seems to be getting worse on fast spin cycle (video link to youtube). Hubby did tighten front legs lock before first use, which was not done by installer. Not sure if back legs were locked...

Speed queen FL mold & mildew smell

Thanks to all who have posted re my question re Speed Queen. I took a leap & got the SQ FL, awesome looking machine. DH is engineer & says sturdy material w expensive fasteners. Delivery/installation not so stellar. I didnt realize till reading manual later that shipping bracket/screws...

Speed queen FL mold & mildew smell

thank you all so much for your prompt input. so happy to find this forum! SQ was so emphatic that their FL dont get this problem,.. always worry me when they say "never" Have seen so few posts re SQ FL; horrid tale of one from this forum w leaks/low water- suffered 2 yrs to get SQ to exchange...

Speed queen FL mold & mildew smell

Hello All, found postings very informative. Had no idea laundry is so complicated. Really torn between Speed Queen FL & TL. I like the FL for water saving & non-agitator features--(like to be able to wash lots of down items & blankets-lots of allergies). But so pricey! and of course the fear...
