New Cascade commercial and Cascade Platinum Plus massively oversudsing dishwasher

Since my last post, I'm no longer using Kirkland pods cause I already found my new favorite detergent and that is Cascade Complete Powder. There are no suds at all. I also went back and got another jug of Cascade Complete liquid, I like rotating between the two but I prefer using powder.

    Tide Original

I'm probably going back to Tide if I can't get anymore of the Kirkland kind from Costco. If so, this time I'd use the free & clear kind they brought back. Not a big fan of scents and I certainly don't like the new regular Tide scent as much as the old one. I looked at the price for Ecolab Royal...

    dream washer

My dream set is a stainless steel SQ FF7/DF7, should've bought one of those when I had the chance and I hope they'll bring them back one day cause that's what I'd love to get. But if I ever run across a new old stock Neptune or Duet set like what I used to have, I wouldn't mind getting them.

What’s your favourite washing machine cleaner?

I've only ever used vinegar for my dishwasher once in a while, never smelled musty or looked dirty enough to buy some kind of dishwasher cleaner. And for washers, I've only ever used bleach. In fact this is what I did when my grandfather's old Neptune was at his cabin, never used bleach so not...

Dishwashers losing popularity in US Homes???

I was just thinking about this the other day before I saw the thread. I would have a harder time buying a brand new dishwasher. Not only I've seen some unimpressive results but also hearing quite a bit of problems the new machines have been getting. Despite that, I still don't think I could live...

    Kirkland laundry detergent

I forgot about Sam's Club, I have a membership so I'll see if their powder detergent cleans the same as Kirkland's or not. Regarding the video, yes powder can be harder to break down. One time I found clumps of detergent on my socks after a cycle. But I haven't experienced any other issues with...

    Still Dead Microwave

John may be right, it could be a very simple switch fix or wiring like this Amana for example. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure this was the microwave that my grandparents had before it got replaced by that Sharp I mentioned earlier. I received confirmation that it was in fact an Amana after...

Trouble Choosing a Speed Queen Washer

I'd second with John about the FF7. I use a couple of commercial Unimac front loaders once a week that's basically a FF7 with less features and they both do a fantastic job.

    Kirkland laundry detergent

What a bummer, I really love that detergent. I also noticed that Tide Ultra OXI and Roma weren't at Costco today either but they were the last time I was there. I'm gonna have to look for a replacement once my last thing of Kirkland is all gone.

    Kirkland laundry detergent

I was just at my local Costco today and I noticed there weren't anymore power detergent in the isle. Don't know if they're currently out of stock or they don't sell them anymore.

    Still Dead Microwave

That's a very nice one, an oldie but goodie! I grew up with a ton of Panasonic products. TVs', cameras, phones, microwaves, a video game console, and my personal favorite are their vacuum cleaners. I have a big collection of not just Panasonic vacuums but also I have Kenmore vacuums that were...

    Maytag dependable care or performa?

My grandfather has a Performa electric dryer which I really do like, always wondered what it would've been like if he had a matching Performa washer but he still had his old washer just like the brown one in reply #4 working at the time. Maybe he would've still had the Performa washer today if...

    Still Dead Microwave

That's a very nice one! I've always liked Sharp Carousels, even better than Panasonic microwaves since I'm a huge fan of Panasonic myself in general. My folks had one like this R-508HS from up at our last cabin we've owned before, I'll admit I'm not much of a microwave user but I really did...

    Still Dead Microwave

I'm very curious to see pictures of your Sharp. My grandfather's from 2000 is still going on strong, even survived from some explosion according to him when he put something in there.

    Hi I'm Lincoln!

Yeah I used them multiple times over the years, I agree it was a shame they both got replaced because I really liked them. Even my grandfather's Neptune I've used multiple times as well and it's a shame it got replaced too, this was his at the cabin.

    Hi I'm Lincoln!

Greetings! I think I was 7 when my folks bought a new washer and dryer. Actually two of them, one of the sets was a Neptune like this with the touch screens. Definitely do miss them since they've been replaced. I even just had my grandfather's Neptune replaced as well, I'll miss that set as well.

1956 Kenmore Cycla Fabric washer restore completed

Very nice! I'd be very interested to see a video of it in action.

    Samsung 240 volt Vented Combo!

I used to use the extra hot and steam setting on my LG. It was hot but not super hot as the commercial UniMac machines I use once a week. I was once convinced that a heater makes a big difference but later found that wasn't the case on my end, I couldn't even tell especially if I did cold wash...

    Never Used Ultrawash Powerclean Dishwasher

Very nice looking Kenmore, I would've bought it if it was closer to me. Did they made a stainless steel version of it? I'm sure they had it in white.

Maytag Machines After Whirlpool Buyout - What Remained?

Certainly that would've been a loads better machine than the one my grandfather has with an impeller. However, this would've not been my first choice at least for a DD. From my understanding the Centennial models had some issues. And personally, it just doesn't look as pretty especially with the...
