GE Filterflo? First Steps to start

Speaking for myself, that machine, if it's in good working condition, is worth the price just for all of the working parts which could be transplanted into many Filter-Flo's all the way back to the V-12's. If you like it, why not? I'd love to have a working FF with a mini-basket again. I can't...

    J C Penny DW

Me too. Interesting collection of parts cribbed from both GE and Hotpoint factories: GE bottom rack, Hotpoint top rack, a wash arm/tower that's an amalgam, never seen that door interior and, I must say, a much cleaner/prettier front than either of that vintage. I wonder if those missing front...

Anybody have information about this Washer?

It's an LG WM9500HKA; and although I swore off of LG appliances because they didn't have a replacement circuit board for one of the best washers I've ever used, the pickings for large capacity machines are slim. I'm tempted because I could save some money and time avoiding the Dry Cleaners.

what would be your dream vintage dishwasher to own and use in 2023

This really is a "dream" dishwasher...it has never existed. It's a Maytag WP-600 portable re imagined as a built-in Pull-out machine.

    Vintage GE Mini Basket

That photo is a bit deceptive. That particular Mini-Basket only fits the Perf-tub models with a Straight-3 Activator. They were labeled either V-14 or V-16 depending on the model year. Those models were sold between 1967 and 1972 IIRC.

Taming a Rollermatic - Custom Deluxe style!

I learn amazing amounts of information from this post. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. This generation of Frigidaire washing machines is my all-time favorite and the aquamarine color scheme is the icing on the cake. One persistent question: what is the "PUSH" button next...

The most stylish "Cadillac of washers"?

and thank you Greg! I'm glad somebody else said it... and that beautiful pink GE kitchen just screams Fred and Ethel Mertz.

The most stylish "Cadillac of washers"?

If the 1957 Frigidaire Imperial Control Towers aren't displayed in MOMA, somebody's asleep at the wheel. One of my many choices for runners up would be the other Automobile company's Philco "juke-box" washing machine that I saw in the display window of Bloom and Krup in the late sixties. I...

    Early Hotpoint DW

This looks like a very early "Convertible-portable". Our downstairs neighbors had the built-in version of this BOL. My Mother always groused that this was the dishwasher they should have installed. She hated buttons and bells and whistles.

    GE Mobile Maid

Even for a GE top loader fanatic like me  they're dreaming, fever dreaming.   Maybe if it had the woodblock top, the Silver Shower, ANYTHING but the Clown-shoe power module, and was delivered filled with Hyacinth's complete set of Royal Doulton with the hand-painted periwinkles...   Now, if...

    1965 Maytag set

Aferim! I always thought this was the best combination: an A702 for all the features plus the versatility the 902 doesn't have and the 90 dryer that is, I believe, the same as the 702 dryer only with pushbuttons instead of a dial.   Enjoy them in good health!

what would be your dream vintage dishwasher to own in 2025

My two Holy Grails An early WP-600 with the two pumps. I have a later one that I cherish but the cycle control is slightly broken because it skips from interval to the next interval without draining so at the end of the wash/rinse period the tank is almost 1/2 full with water.   A 1961or...

1961 GE Combination W/D For Sale

The V vintage is my all time favorite. I love those dials and that backsplash. I will do a graphic of that beautiful machine.

Some more help please:   I have an early A406 with the original Powerfin Agitator. I want to remove it but, before I destroy it:   <ol> <li>It doesn't have a set-screw in the side of the agitator.</li> <li>It has what looks like a huge Philips-head set of slots in a poly circle down inside...

Thank you for the generous information. I have a collection of about 20 Tags (washers, dryers) where some have survived storage better than others. My objective is to end up with an:   <ol> <li>A808S</li> <li>A806</li> <li>A606</li> <li>A406</li> <li>A206</li> <li>A702</li> <li>A502</li>...

Within the 1960's model lineup, the A906, A806, A606, A206 (and maybe the A406 and A106) are the Motors, Pumps ,Transmissions and cabinets(forgetting about bleach dispensers) interchangeable?   Is having two speeds a function of a different motor or is it some external control?
