    Hoover Portapower adapter

About month ago my much appreciated Hoover Constellation vacuum was crippled when the hose plastic (after almost 20 years) began disintegrating and the hose literally fell apart. Of course the Constellation has been discontinued and even though the vac still works just fine, finding a...

    GE percolator 25p50

Yeah.. I have two other identical units (but in worse shape inside) that I got as parts donors. The worst one on the inside works just fine, while the next better perks fine but doesn't stay in keep warm mode for more than 15 seconds before perking a few more seconds then keep warm, etc...

    GE percolator 25p50

Selector It does have a selector and I believe a fuse or some other adjustable selector on the bottom. The unit does not really look like it has seen high mileage (compared to some of the other ones I've seen) but its got to be from the 1960s so age I'm sure has played a factor.

    GE percolator 25p50

For the percolator experts... I recently acquired a nice (I'm guessing 60s vintage) GE 25p50 percolator. The unit is in good shape cosmetically and internally, but has suffered a mechanical failure. I used it once to clean it out (with dishwasher powder, worked wonders) and it completed a...

    Corelle

I've got full set of Spring Blossom Green that was my grandparents with the closed handled cups, while my grandparents bought my parents a set of Butterfly Gold with the open handled cups. My parents never used the cups as my dad always complained the KitchenAid dishwasher would and could blow...

    Vintage photos of wringer washers

Montgomery Wards wringers are basically rebadged Speed Queens? They look very familiar. Am I right?

    NOS Wringer In South Carolina

I've always heard to button all buttons and zip all zippers and basically fold the clothes so that the fabric is covering the buttons/zippers to avoid them being ripped off. (I'm going from memory from when I was 6 [under my grandmother's supervision]).

    NOS Wringer In South Carolina

May have to jump on this.... I've been wanting to acquire a wringer for quite some time and this one looks to be in excellent condition. As this would become a frequent driver (if not daily) my only hesitation is that this brand is obscure (parts?) compared to the ubiquitous Maytags, but is...
