Need recommendations on front load washer

I've used a top load forever and finally landed a SQ a few years ago and love it. However, now that my well is a low yield well, my SQ top load keeps running us out of water. I've heard front loaders use far less water. Looking for recommendations, used definitely included, for a front load...

SQ dryer no heat most of the time...

Thanks John. To confirm, jump orange to blue at the fabric selector switch?

SQ dryer no heat most of the time...

Electrical measurements I took some voltage measurements and what I came up with makes me suspect a bad fabric selector switch. I'm skeptical because the element turns on for a few minutes, then off. My measurements are in reference to the motor side of the element (lets call it L2). As you...

SQ dryer no heat most of the time...

That WAS easy. So, the element looks fine. It does have a timer though. Could use some guidance on next steps. If I go the timer contact route, how do I go about it? Are you saying just the contacts where the wire plugs into the timer, or something else, like a solenoid?

SQ dryer no heat most of the time...

I have a SQ dryer(ADE3LRGS171TW01), no heat. Popped the front bottom off yesterday, noticed the element turned on, all 3 (what i could see, think there's 3). So, I ran the rest of the cycle, watching for the first 3 or 4 minutes, element always on. Closed it up, end of cycle, clothes damp...

SQ - Considering switching from TL to FL. Need advice

Currently have a SQ TL AWN412. Works great. Just uses a lot of water. Considering buying this below. Not sure yet but looks like a FF7009BN. I have no experience with a front load washer but love my speed queen. Hoping it would save me on water (low yield well), dry time and still does a good...

Speed Queen AWN412S vibrating on fill

I just purchased a Speed Queen AWN412S. When filling, the hose vibrates. Is this a bad water valve? Also, I purchased the set for $350, where the dryer had a bad guide roller and the washing machine is doing the above. Is this a fair price? It also seems fill is a bit slow compared to my old...

    In Need of Wash Wisdom

Check out Eugene's channel on youtube (lorainfurniture). He reviews MANY washing machines and is very knowledgeable. For me, we have a family of 9 and have used our 2001 Maytag Dependable Care daily. We definitely put it through it's paces. That's not to say I haven't had it apart a few times...

    Maytag DC - Transmission oil

Thanks all. I think Eugene has a good point on the seal potentially leaking. I'm going to replace with the correct oil. Thanks for the help!

    Maytag DC - Transmission oil

It's an orbital transmission (Model LAT3500AAE). Will that oil also work with an orbital? Do you think it's imperative to replace the oil or do you think I'll be ok with the synthetic?

    Maytag DC - Transmission oil

About a year ago, one of the gears in the transmission of my Maytag dependable care went out. I found a replacement and replaced it, after cleaning the transmission and all parts out thoroughly. I was planning to go back with a maytag gear oil but my brother talked me into Lucas synthetic gear...
