    WAYMO Technology

That's one of many concerns, especially on ice. Braking hard on ice will cause the vehicle to spin end for end. How will it respond in heavy rain and hydroplaning? Read the manual in all vehicles with cruise control and it explains why using it strictly prohibited in the rain. Are self driving...

    WAYMO Technology

I'm leery about Waymos driving in areas with relatively little rain and no snow/ice. I can't imagine these things driving around in the north under those conditions, including whiteout conditions. I see injuries and death involved with these.

    KUDD23 saves the day

I pack my KDS-18 like that and have excellent results. I'd be rewashing at least 70% of that load in my Point Voyager, especially the top rack.

Whirlpool and Samsung are reducing the maximum spin speed on their washers

Better designed seals would prevent bearing failure. Can't go having a washer last more than 10 years though, that cuts into profits.

(dishwasher) are these any good? mid-'00s WP horizontal motor.

That was my point. I don't think it would make a difference if that seal was replaced or not. However, the poster made this comment... Have you made sure the seals in the spray arm both where it connects to the back of the tub and where the arm mounts to the rack are in good shape?

(dishwasher) are these any good? mid-'00s WP horizontal motor.

So, what else is there to do during Thanksgiving for someone who's not into Turkey or fraternizing about useless nonsensical babble? Tear into an appliance, of course! Enter the Piece-of-Shitenaid KUDS03CTSS3 I'm reminded why I don't like self cleaning dishwashers (at least this design for...

    Maytag N model restoration

You'll want to read through this link, everything is basically the same as yours minus the round tub and slightly smaller wringer head. https://automaticwasher.org/threads/moving-a-maytag-e2l.41892/

    My Take on Laundry Pods

One size fits all doesn't work in most circumstances. Too many variables from water quality/hardness, water level(s), water temperatures, and soil level are just a few limiting factors. Pods are also releasing microplastics into the water supply. Powdered detergent that comes inside a cardboard...

DG 808 Not Turning Off, Not Changing Temps

Is it working correctly now? If not, I have the original manual and scan/post the testing procedures.

    WHAT would YOU do?

Just being aware of technology and the possibilities of how it can be mis-used is about all one can do, If pay phones were as abundant as they were 30 years ago, I probably wouldn't bother having a phone. I was a late adopter (2006) because I grew up without one and didn't see the extra expense...

DG 808 Not Turning Off, Not Changing Temps

The Maytag 808 series dryer was around from 1976-early 1980, it's far from modern. One of the 2 most common failure points with these after thousands of cycles and decades of use is a broken paperclip linkage/tab to the control switch that's responsible for rerouting power to the motor through...

Does anyone have a need for traditional non-LED light bulbs, the kind that were banned?

I remember seeing a few used 60 watt incandescent light bulbs in a thrift store 12 years ago and that really blew my mind.

    KUDD23 saves the day

150F is ideal and the minimum industry standard for commercial dishwashers.

Buying a new Toilet this weekend - Any advice?

Lack of water can indirectly cause a drain field to clog by making the soil hard and compacted, and by preventing the necessary bacteria from functioning properly.
