Quick question... Are the bed of nails filters and the basket type filters interchangable on the 1-18s?

Bed of Nails filter
Oh my gosh! My mom had a harvest gold Frigidaire washer that we got in around 1972. We just hated that dumb filter!! The washer was fantastic, but that filter was a nightmare. The only time it was ever clean was before the very first load of laundry.
