We recently purchased this 1949 Frigidaire electric range. It worked fine for about a week and then one evening when I turned the right front control knob from medium high down to medium low, I heard a loud pop and smelled electrical smoke coming from under the burner. It didn't blow either of the fuses inside of the stove and didn't blow the breaker in the house. But, now when I turn on any burner, even though they heat up it smells like wiring burning. Does anybody here know of someone in Iowa, or a nearby state that does complete mechanical restoration on vintage stoves?
