Today I put a bottle on my 1949 Maytag gas Dutch Oven, and the fool thing fired right up and works like new. I've had it in storage 17 years and never expected it to work. So far I've baked corn bread, an angel food cake, ham, and a sweet potato pecan casserole in the oven, and fried bacon on the top, made sweet potatos in a pressure cooker, and even cory glass vacuum coffee. I just love the range and will post photos when I can.
Mine is a very basic model without a clock or light, and not incorporating the automatic shut off feature, although it does cook using retained heat if operated that way manually.
