I've also posted in Shopper's Square, but I seem to have hit a brick wall with my attempts to restore a 1950 Youngstown Kitchens dishwasher that I got in 2014 and have been neglecting ever since...   I am looking for a service manual for this model (a B27D) or a schematic/timer chart tracing current flow at different phases of the cycle. 

 

The machine was in very very bad shape (I have lots of pictures on my phone but I am unable to post them here) however I managed to dismantle and repair the individual components.  The machine is incredibly simple - as the timer wheel moves, cams activate or de-activate switches.  There is a cam to physically open and close the water inlet valve instead of activating an electrical solenoid!  

 

I successfully tested each individual component and found each to be working, but when I put the timer back in and hooked everything up again, I cannot get the machine to run.    The closest to running I have gotten after a couple of days of head-scratching has been to get the drain solenoid to power up when I turn the cover switch to the 'start' position.  This could be what is supposed to happen, but I was expecting the timer motor to kick on, too.  I have a funny feeling the pressure switch (last picture) has something to do with this but I have managed to trace power to the timer leads when the switch is in the open or closed position.  

 

I am convinced that I have a switch that is out of alignment somewhere, possibly the lid/starting switch.  Without a decent understanding of how the machine is supposed to work,  I am kinda stumped at this point... 

 

Geez, my restorations are getting worse as I get older.... I _still_ haven't figured out how to keep the 58 L110 Laundromat from stalling with a load of more than a few items of clothing in it and the 61 Whirlpool dishwasher in the background of the first picture has a huge leak due to the rubber pump dome having dried up and cracked in storage...    You'll understand why I have chosen to simply live with 2 out of 4 burners working on the '62 Flair... LOL
