1950's Westinghouse on Rust Brother's Resto show

During the episode we watched last night, they went to a junkyard for car parts, and the first thing my eye caught in the yard was this old Westinghouse. I don't know these well enough to tell whether it's a washer or a dryer. All I know is, if I was closer (they are in BC), I would definitely be asking about it.

Looks like the 56 Ben just saved!

I'll bet it was a stage prop. Westinghouse pain was so thin that it would have rusted away if left outside for any length of time.

That's an oddball - similar but not like the 1956 L-9 I just picked up.

The door looks like an LB-6 / L-8 / L-104, but the bottom of the slant panel has the ribs like the earlier L-4 / L-5. The knobs too look very similar to L-8 knobs which leaves off the LB-6 or L-104.

Maybe it was a hodge-podge of parts put together or a Canadian specific model (Paul's LB-6 equivalent had the ribs but the US model did not)?

Yes, that's right Ben!  And for some reason the 54 and 55 Canadian models did not have the square inset for the control dials.
