Hi everyone! I haven't been on very much in the last four years or so, just been busy.

Lats month my 12 year old freezer went out for the third time - this time it was the compressor (last two times were the fan) so to the curb it went.

I'm really disappointed in the longevity of new appliances so I specifically looked for an oldie and found this 1956 Philco Upright 20 miles away. It needs work but runs - I had to add an aftermarket thermostat. The old t-stat wasn't working and the freezer would continuously run and drop to -30F. It now cycles on and off and stays at -10F.

It needs work but I needed it for immediate use, I'll change the door gasket and paint it later. I did clean the interior and the control panel before use.
