I’d love to get the dual coil, automatic burner functioning, but it seems like that may just be a dream. I see people talking about converting to the piano keys or to infinite heat, but I can’t find any information on the how or what is needed. If you convert to infinite heat, can you still keep the function of the split coil? And can you still use the same lever? Or can the original mechanism be repaired, since the pets are NLA? People seem to say they’re incredible when they’re working.

Hi Wesley, the first thing to do is to see if it is just a bad sensor, you can disconnect the sensor at the control and jump the sensor terminals and the element should heat at full 100%, if so you may be able to find one of the 10 Ohm sensors on Ebay etc.

The system could also have a bad transformer, these are pretty easy to find, we still have good used oes.

If the control itself is bad it may be best to install a regular element and switch like the RR burner, you would lose the 2 size feature but you will have 4 very functional elements that are consistent in operation and easy to use.

Contact me if you need any details, John
