Humm....

I can't get over no one is talking about this gem.
Does this mean the race is on?

Looks like a haul out of a basement

for sure! That alone is worth $150 bucks to anybody wanting to move one of these beasts! So put that in your bids.

Looks like its in good cosmetic shape. Wonder what the tub bearings and boot look like. I have new boots for that for $50 if the future owner is interested.

keep us posted that is a keeper!

OOoooh. I know what you mean. They would have to get that thing up out of there and ready before I would have anything to do with it. I've moved one just like it before. It would take more than $150.00 for me to move another one----especially since it takes three brutes to do it!

oh yes mr steve

you are so right.. one heavy mother indeed.. i remember you and i moving that one when we ran up to gregs a few years ago. and i remember you running after that hunk of a neighbor kid to help us.. was to funny.. but ill tell ya thats one pretty machine indeed would love to have one

Everyone -

I have e-mailed the seller to see if I can get a look at the machine. I am not going to get this for myself (sorry MickeyD) but would be glad to facilitate for someone else if I can. At least I can ascertain it's condition if you tell me what to look for.

Once or if I hear back from the seller, I'll let you all know what's happening.

Does the Electric motor have a Clutch?

This machine look similar to the Philco/Bendix Gira Gira that I have got but in Italy this kind of motor are very rare and I am not very familiar how they work.
Does this machine use gear box?
Does the Electric motor have a Clutch?

The Italian SanGiorgio washer had a motor were the clutch was operated by the drain pump. The water was pumped in a pipe and the pressure built was going to push the clutch to get a slow spin start.

I can't open the link pictures, but from the first picture that I can see the drum filter hole it looks the same type in used in my Philco/Bendix.
I am interested because mine it need to be restored.
I hope to do it if the some of the spare parts are available.:)
Is been under the rain for long time and I am very concern about all the electrical parts.
The drum bearing are stuck and I know that cam be a big problem to remove then if they are joint to the drum axis.:(
Many thanks
Paolo
