Les, That is a true second oven and unlike many ranges, even it was able to do clock-controlled "time bake." It baked and broiled independently of the main oven. None of my Frigidaire or Westinghouse range manuals have instructions for doing clock-controlled start and stop in the companion oven. There were less well known brands that offered that feature in the early 50s, but because Hotpoint and GE had the oven selector switches as well as thermostats for both ovens, they could give time bake in both ovens. The one exception to that is the 30" Hotpoint Hallmark range where the upper oven and surface units could be mounted on a wide lower oven instead of a base cabinet. That big lower oven was not clock-controlled. It had a selector switch with OFF, Bake & Broil settings on one side on the front and the thermostat on the other side.
