More like mid 1980's.  Nice-looking gas range, but it appears to have the dreaded 'Continuously Dirty Oven'.

If that ugly POS does indeed have the Hotpoint name on it, look for disturbances in the turf over Harriet Hilliard Nelson's grave as she spins.
