No pictures - No brand

I sent the seller an email - asking for a brand and photo, if possible.

Sometimes, a no-photo, little info ad leads to interesting finds. If it's worth posting, I agree - it's worth
adding a photo and information. Some people don't do well with uploading photos, asking others, or may be lazy. But the point is ...are you interested enough to email and ask the seller?

You've all been around long enough - I posted this for those who would follow up with an email to the seller. It's more challenging for some...I wouldn't balk at the ad - so I'm waiting for a reply and will post the results.

If you like it delivered to your door - there's no reason to look at the ad or ask, "why post it?". I respect all styles out there...and each gets their prizes in all different ways - to me ,there's no best way, just a way.

I hope this seller replies. Either way, no more ads like this to frustrate the masses (or a few). Thanks guys, have a good week!

Follow up

Seller just replied - it's a Maytag, and he said he thinks now it's an early 1970s. So, that's part of the process - and he said he'll get a photo. I told him people are looking on and gave him this link.

speaking for myself, i wasn't complaining cuz you posted the ad on here. i was simply commenting about how the seller didn't post much information about the washer in his craigslist ad.

i'm sorry that you felt that at least my comment was directed at you. my comment was not meant for you or your post. i was simply commenting on the sellers lack of information when he is trying to sell a washer.

please accept my apology if you thought my comment was towards you. i GREATLY appreciate you for posting these ads and i thank you so much for all the time you take in finding & posting these ads for us all.

Thank you for the explaination AND following up with the seller, awesome job!

 

I was just looking at it from my perspective.   If I am searching through craigslist or what ever and come across an ad like that, yes I will click on it.    But if the seller doesn't bother to list the brand or any other useful info (or a photo), I will move on and continue the search.   To me that type of ad is useless and I wouldn't bother passing the "info" on to anyone else.   If I miss out on some amazing treasure, oh well, so be it.   

 

When selling something I always give as much info about (what ever it is) as I can, including photos.  Info that would I want to know about about something I'm looking to buy.    Granted a large percentage of the time the "buyer" doesn't bother to actually READ what's in the ad and I find that really annoying, but that's another rant.
