"I base my judgement of excellent condition on what I myself have bought off ebay with that description."

These are the sellers own words, from the listing. I dont know how to interpret this statement. It boggles my mind.

Wait, let me plug that into my Ebay-to-English translator...

Beep. Boop. Beep Beep.

Ok, here ya go:

"I've been ripped off so often on Ebay as a buyer, I now feel justified in ripping other people off as a seller."

For someone serious about that refrigerator, maybe some careful bondo or fiberglass filler work could restore it to an acceptable condition?

As for the translastion:

I base my judgement of the excellent condition of this piece on my previous Ebay auction purchases that had the same description?

Hmmmm......

Did he buy this off of Ebay and is just reusing the description from the auction in which he bought the piece? That's what it sounds like. What other item on Ebay would have the same description.

His judgement is cloudy or not working today. That unit should go for about $50.00 as is. No way in hell would that unit be considered in excellent condition. In fact it qualifies as the exterior being in good condition with the interior being in fair condition.

Brettsomers:

Your translation made me laugh a little. It could be very true as well!

There was a plastic liner repair described in Appliance Service News a few years ago. You cut up small pieces of a matching color plastic, and put them in a small jar with lacquer thinner added. Leave it sit with the top on for a while.

The thinner "melts" the plastic, and turns it into a paste, which then can be applied, to fill in cracks, or I suppose small missing pieces. After it's applied, it the thinner evaporates, and it hardens.

I've used the method before, it makes a somewhat acceptable repair.
