1963 O'Keefe & Merritt gas cooktop

Greetings:

A friend is remodeling their kitchen and is looking for a new home for his 1963 O'Keefe & Merritt cooktop range. Would anyone out there be interested in this? They will also be replacing the matching wall oven, but I don't have a picture of that yet.

Has the Burner-With-The-Brain, front right. That control layout was exactly like our 1961 model, including the same color. Ours was a bit wider and the burners were straight front to back. had a griddle in the middle. Good to know they still used the inset of the knobs with the angled shape around the perimeter of the knob area in 1963. Look forward to seeing what the matching oven looks like commpared to ours. Makes me think of my mom.

Yep - old appliances bring me back to my past as well!

I am guessing '63 for the year as that is when he said the house was built. I always thought the angled burners reminded me of the upside down front end of a '61-'62 Chrysler with the angled headlights.

I'll try to get a photo of the oven this week. I hope these find a home one way or another.
