My friends that run the G.E. Appliance Store in West Central Missouri (in the town of Carrollton) have this 1964 Norge Gas Clothes Dryer For Sale.

Presently, I am short on the details of the machine, and the selling price.

However, if you are interested in possibly buying this Dryer, would you please communicate to me through my email address ([email protected]). I will then gather information for further questions, or place you in direct contact with the seller.

I have one more bit of information to add about the dryer: It was a one owner dryer with the duct exhaust through the floor in the front of the dryer.

He will entertain any offer, but $100.00 is the amount he was originally thinking about.

For $100, does he throw in a pair of pliers to adjust the fabric button? I'll bet it's still one temperature, but two different levels of gas input. That looks like the model the Atlanta Gas Light Company sold. If it is, there is a dial light. In the back of the drum, that combination of dirt and fuel grime darkening the areas near the air inlets will clean up with some spray cleaner like Spray-9. The same grime will be found in the areas under the access door in the top from the combustion products of the pilot light. I'll also bet that the seals are shot making this a "flocker." Even a GE dryer of this age would need work. The amount of work needed on this beast is probably considerably greater. $100 is no bargain.

I agree that the $100 is high, but I was only quoting his note to me. He did say he would entertain any offer. He just prefers that it go to a collector, rather than send it to the junk.
