1970 Westinghouse washer ??

I found a Westinghouse washer at a used appliance store. I have never had or even used a Westinghouse washer.He says it worked fine three years ago and was put back there and forgot about it most folks want something newer,thinking the newer ones will last longer.

I was wondering is a 1970 a Westinghouse or a WCI or are they all the same? I have zero knowledge about

there washers save for I do like that spiral agitator. He wants a 100 bucks for it . I was wondering if they are worth the trouble.

I don't know why but for some reason in the South I never saw another Westinghouse washer anywhere.

Do they have any problem areas?

Westinghouse didn't sell their appliance division to WCI until 1975.

the westinghouse washer design came out about 1966,before then the westy TL was sourced from Easy.If it is a 1970,i think that is old enough to have the neutral drain solenoid on the clutch belt idler.Also dual section black bakelite turbine type drain pump.I would buy that on sight
