My grandparents’ 2 Maytags - hopefully someday to be mine.

The 107 is at their main house, so despite being the older one, it is the daily driver - especially since they haven’t been to the second house in nearly 2 years for various reasons. It is original to when they bought the house in 78 and has never failed.

The 506 is at their vacation house. My grandfather went up nearly every weekend until about 2 years ago, so it was used fairly regularly up until then. I was up there last month and used it - it still works perfectly even after sitting for so long. The house has since been deep-cleaned, so it has been used at least once since then. I may soon be moving to that house - if so, the 506 will become my daily driver.

I just came here looking for information to see if my 1974 A107A is worth repairing. Seems like it’s well liked here.

I moved in this house 8 years ago and have used it 1-2 a week. This past weekend the tub and agitater quit moving but it sounds like the motor turns on. I plan on tearing into it tomorrow and see if I can fix it!

I love the short cycles and it does a solid job getting my stuff clean. I looked at washers today and a non HE one is 900-1200 dollars..
