Someone mentioned that I should check eBay for backissues of Consumer Reports.
Well....
I fell into a big stack of them. I've put aside what I've been looking for (radios), and I've come across some that have washer and dryer reviews:
July 57 (dryers), February 54 (washers and dryers), April 51
(gas and electric dryers).
$6 per issue plus shipping. Or take the lot for $15 plus shipping.

Oh--quick note--one of the issues I'm keeping has an article on the '49 Bendix rubber tub washer. Would anyone like it to be posted? You'll have to tell me where it needs to go.
