Lady Kenmore dishwasher
I had that same model many years ago and did paint it a lovely Harvest gold to match the other kitchen appliances I had at the time. Bought it reposessed from a Sears warehouse sale for $100. Had the top roto rack that cleaned everything perfect. Eventually built it in and it went another 15 years until the door spring let go. I didnt bother with it, just latched the door but eventually the 2 screws on the bottom of the door wore holes through the porcelain tub and it started leaking. I used to set a timer and hit the cancel/drain button to stop the heat dry, as there was no air dry option. If you pushed the sani-temp option it would practically boil the rinse water. Wished I still had it instead of the crappy Frigidaire made Whirlpool I have now.

Well blow me down - item A looks mightly like a Hotpoint Supermatic to me. Go Canadians - the hunt is on - you have Hoovermatics, Supertwins (Simplicity/Speed Queens) now you can be on the hunt for the third in the triumvirate of the most popular twinnies. And in Harvest Gold and Avacado as well - we never had it in those colours

Well, I have just had the same reaction that Al has had! Goodness me, you had Hotpoint Supermatics and in drag too.
We had to wait until the early 1980's before we got the option of different bodycolours - namely Spring Almond or Teak, as well as traditional white.
Had no idea that they made it to Canada.

I had assumed the picture had been taken in the UK when I saw it first time around but it clearly does have a resemblence to the one shown in the brochure above.

Wow, and so you did have them, so would this be badged Sears Kenmore?? would love to see the colours...this would have been based on our 1450 models that was first introduced here in 1966...with a top spin speed of 3,100rpm - dont think this model has a heater, it doesnt appear to state it and voltage is listed @ 115v - could you confirm about the heater anyone?? I wonder if it was produced here & shipped or built with you under licence??

Is there any chance you could re-scan this please so that we can see the bit that is obscured on the right hand side - even if it means citting off some of the left. It seems to say "Roto-Swirl" agitator and I am guessing that the "On-Off" control was a subsitute for the thermostat control rather than just have a blanking plate on the control panel. No boil washes here I think! Up to 12 minutes wash time, seven pound load, recirculating water, lint removal, it all screams Supermatic to me at least.

Just a Eureka moment, maybe.
Read the latest posts from our brothers across the pond, and think that the wringers were imports too with the long handles in front and the full square, not made by WP.
And Mikey, I think we discovered earlier that the Canadian models don't heat.

Unfortunately, I don't have details about the washer in the picture I sent. And of course, my parents don't remember anything about it (I have asked them!) and they replaced it years before I was born!
The only thing I noticed is that there's a badge on the left the cabinet (just behind my mother's cigarette!) that I have not seen on this Kenmore or on UK Hotpoints...

Here Al,, hopefully a better scan..they're hard to bend and scan being almost 900 pages thick, I try not to so the pages don't become unglued. I recollect my sister having a twin tub back around this time when my niece was a baby and they lived in a small apartment but not what brand it was. I'm thinking Hoover but wouldn't bet my life on it. More than likely it was a Kenmore seeing as we had a Sears store here. I'm pretty sure that Woolco (can't remember their brand name now) and Zellers (branded Bradford aka Grants US) had them and maybe KMart. .
