I'm just wondering if it's still possible to buy liquid starch in Ireland or the UK?
I can't seem to find it anywhere!

I've some fitted shirts that I find tend to lose their shape when they're washed with normal detergents and fabric softener.

I know there's spray starch available, but it seems quite messy.

Starch

James

I have not seen anything but spray starch for years although my mother used to keep a box of Robin starch in the cupboard - she used to hate using it though. I find spray starch fine although it can make the sole plate of your iron a bit sticky so you may need give it a wipe after use. I use it if I am going out on a special occasion or if I am traveling it helps to keep creases out of my shirts.

If you Google Robin Starch you will find lots of stuff about it, and the link below will hopefully show you what a quick search on Amazon brought up

Liquid maybe yes or no, but plenty of powders

Which IMHO are just as easy to use as liquids.

Starching in a washing machine using powdered product is quite simple really. Just prepare the powder as directed and dispense during the rinse, or set the machine to do a special "starch" cycle if available.

Dylon

Last time I got some was in Tesco, called Dylon. In a black bottle. This was a few years back. For laundry and cleaning products, I find that Waitrose/Ocado has the widest range on sale at one time.
