well

suds or not, can't beat the price. And it sounds like a pump issue, under $25 to get a new one, 15 minutes to install.

On some old Kenmore's, just tightening the belt after years of use kicks the pump back into good operation, try that first.

I think this is one of those rare setups that SudsSave every time from the Normal cycle....there was no switch to select 'drain' or 'save'

if you wanted to save the suds, you placed a plug in the drain, the timer has the marking for 'return suds'....all wash water emptied through the long hose...

all rinse water goes out the other hose.....

SudsSave

Martin,

You're correct on the auto suds save. I have a 1968 600 series that is the same way. Normal and Delicate drain the wash water via the suds hose--there is no option to turn it on or off. Fortunately now I have a laundry tub to drain it into. Before moving, I had it set to drain suds into a large tote. If I didn't want to reuse it, I either had to pump it back in then drain it out via a rinse drain (which WAS kind of fun though), or move the timer to drain the wash water via a rinse (or PPWW cycle) drain.
