That's a good dishwasher. Can they be converted to an under the counter install? I don't think it would be too difficult.

Yes

this could be converted for built-in use fairly simply. The only KitchenAid portables that cannot easily be converted were the top-loading models, and the 1970s front loading models that had a rear control panel.

Looks to be close to perfect!

Heater calrod isn't in the sump, so it isn't 100% Hobart.
