Hi Guys,

Some of you may or may not have known about IDAHO, a day where we can promote and celebrate anti homophobic attitudes by showing just how fascinating homosexuality can be and to break down the barriers of prejudice.
I am a member of EXULT which is the Queer Collective at the university which i study at (Edith Cowan University). TO celebrate IDAHO we set up stalls and barbecues for everyone passing to look at and enjoy a hotdog or veggie burger. We also had a huge banner that people could sign to show their support for the day. We got a lot of support despite one of the days being incredibly rainy. We also had a smaller motive to drum up support for more Equity rooms on the two edith cowan campuses, which we have been denied previously. Basically we are trying to set up rooms on campus where people can feel safe, whoever they are, be them gay/straight, transgender, overseas students, basically an all round comfy warm place to sit, read, talk, or just think.

SO i would like to share with u some photos of our IDAHO celebrations, we made some badges and patches that had various fun/quirky phrases on them, i made two for myself, one saying 'Thats Mr Faggot to you!' and.. 'Dip Me In Chocolate and Throw Me To the Lesbians!' heehee.

Enjoy
Matt
