Yes, that's a Hotpoint smoothtop on the far right of this capture from Hotpoint's homepage but that double-oven coiltop behind the guy with the grocery bag (apparently a stock photo) isn't a current model and might not even be a GE product.

Any ideas what it really is, anyone? :)

What is it?

Can't tell if that is a microwave/venthood or oven on the top.

I pulled out some old pics of our late 70's GE coiled range w/double oven. All of the controls were on the right hand side of the upper oven. The front panels of both ovens were black, and the body of the range was almond.

Re: Reverse Image:

It is quite possible that somehow that particular Photo of the Guy with Groceries and the Range with the Controls on the Left, might have somehow gotten reversed. I used to take some of my Appliance Photos to work with me, when I operated a High-Speed Photo-Copy Machine and I transposed the Images onto Overlay Transparencies, so I could re-print the Appliance in reverse, just for the curiousity of how it would look with everything sitting in the opposite direction.

One time, I had this weird dream where I pictured what my kitchen would look like from inside the refrigerator.

veg, who apparently needs to tweak his dosage

Re: Gas Range, actually reversed:

There was a Brand of a 30" Double Upper/Lower Oven Gas Range that actually did have the Control's on the Left side, but I don't remember for sure the Manufacture that made it though. It might have been a Gaffer's & Sattler, or O'Kieffe & Marritt, although for some reason, I seem to think that it was a Penncrest "JC Penneys" or Sears Kenmore, {Badged} Gas Stove/Range.
