Go to YouTube and look up "Agentjayz"He has some EXCELLENT test videos and even tuturals on JET ENGINES.These have always fascinated me.He works for two companies Maddex Turbines and J&J Turbines.They rebuild,repair,convert jet engines for use in aircraft or convert them to stationary industrial engines for power generation,natural gas compression,pumping and other jobs.The test runs are COOL! If you like RAW POWER--this is it!The engines blast away the snow from behind the test stand or even erode a path in the dirt behind it when there is no snow.And afterburner tests!!!Too bad the camera mike can't reproduce the raw sound of power from these beasts of engines.We could be talking 1200-35,000 Hp here!And they have huge fuel supplies at the test station-engines can burn more than 57 gal per hour!!!And the gas turbine engine starters--interesting-the raw air pressure needed to start a jet engine!Some have hydrualic starter motors-they use the Hydraulic PTO from a skid steer tractor to start some engines--Rolls-Royce.
