I want to inform the group about an excellent mover of treasures:

Don Hill

[email protected]

Over the weekend, he picked up the GE dryer from Lawrence in Atlanta and brought it to me yesterday for what I consider to be a reasonable price of under $200. He is based in Pittsburgh, PA and travels the east coast region. He is principally a mover of fine antiques and he handled the dryer as such. Jackie Demetre, who is based in Washington state and who has brought us such treasures as the Westinghouse L1000 and its matching dryer and the Easy combo, recommended him when I called her because she does not have a trip in this direction scheduled in the near future. Don says that he gets to Florida about every 6 weeks and usually has nothing to carry on the return trip so if you find something in Florida, he will have room in his truck and an incentive to haul it north.

One really neat thing, and probably the best hallmark of character, is that he travels with his two labs, one three months and one three years. His two companions and Lawrence's two labs had a great time playing together and probably generated a spot of great joy in the universe while together.

I believe you will be able to search in this forum under Mover and find Don's information if you don't save it someplace else.
