My Aunt had a early 1980's ge filter flo like this one in the pic but white. This was when i was younger. I would always ask my Aunt to leave her laundry for me to do when we came to spend the weekend with my Aunt and my Grandpa. When i did her laundry i would stick a clothes pin or something in the button so that her washer would wash and spin with the lid up "im sure like we all do" lol. Her washer would never have the water coming out of the recirculating nozzel during wash and rinse, water would only come out of the recirculating nozzel during spin always, it was never sometimes during wash or rinse, always just the spin cycle. Her washer did come with a filter flo pan. Has anyone ever heard of this with any ge filter flo washer? My Aunts washer is the only ge ff ive ever heard of or seen of this. The only thing i can think of is maybe the hoses to the pump was connected wrong but if that was the case i think it would of been draining during wash cycle. Anyone have any ideas?

does sound like hoses for filter section of pump were swapped-drain section of pump seperate from filter section,so drain unaffected by wrong filter hose connection

Water may flood out of the FilterFlo flume during spin because the top of the flume is open and inside the outer tub area and water kicks up high to the flume during spin/drain.

Far as I know the cause for no recirculation during agitation is a clogged hose or a clogged/bad pump.  GE experts will correct or clarify.

Spin cycle

I know what ur talking about when the water during spin cycle splashes off of the fill flume and recirculating nozzle when u have water level on high but every time the washer would spin the water would come out of the recirculating nozzle like it should during wash/ rinse. A steady stream of water came out until all the water was drained out.
