thanks for the replys

Yes....you do have 8 seconds to decide changes......or else it defaults to Cotton/Sturdy, warm/cold....basically a regular cycle....but if your not doing anything special....just load, add detergent, and lift the start button....its all go from there.....

funny for these models, the buzzer volume control is on the back of the console, a slide for up or down.....

ELECTRONIC BD WASHERS

Todd these were introduced  in 1977 in both the WP and KM lines as their TOL models, first automatic washers in the US if not the world to have fully micro-processor control.

Martin bypassing the active lint filters on WP and KM machines often caused the water pumps to clog with lint and ruined them. We used to see this problem all the time on machines that others had removed the filters on and then the customers called us because the washer was broken again. We would install the correct filter and a new pump if it was one that you couldn't take apart and clean and they would never have another problem again for years. With no filter be careful if you wash very linty loads, old rags, rugs etc, as it is getting harder to get new pumps for these washers.

Sorry John......

I may have worded that wrong......

I removed the self clean filter, took it apart, cleaned it out, resealed it, and put it back on the machine.............this was one of the leaks on this machine......interesting, never got to open one before like this, and to see how the rubber sleeve holds against one side to filter, and the other to cleanout, and closing off the port.....I still prefer the ones located in the bottom corner....PITA to remove the inner tub to get this thing out......

there is a small drip from the pump, took it off and cleaned it out, but the leak is comming from the shaft seal, and you cannot spin the pulley freely, there is binding.....so a new one is one order....

Towels Cycle

Is there any difference between the Towels and Cotton/Sturdy cycle? Is it the temperatures or wash time? Same question applies to the Knit and Delicate cycles. 8 and 6 minutes respectively, perhaps?
