The listing says that this house was built in 1969, and I guess that's about right, considering the location.  It appears to be quite a time capsule left behind by the original owner(s).  Most interesting is the avocado D&M dishwasher in the kitchen.  There's not a clean shot of the control panel, so the badge is unknown - possibly Kenmore.  But, there it sits, apparently installed in 1969.  No specifics are provided concerning the appliances.

Lawrence, thank you for posting. I'm amazed at the number of houses in Alabama built through the 80s that featured a car port and not a garage even with such a nice house.

Bob,

This is a strange RE market.  It's not uncommon to find houses that were built in the early 1970's without carport or garage - just a driveway and a parking pad next to the house.  I suppose garages are 'standard' today with new construction, perhaps that's due to smaller lots and larger houses.  I don't have a problem with a carport (I have a double carport, one car) because the weather even in the winter is so mild.  I want protection from the sun and rain, and my carport gives me that.
