Apple Crisp.
Recipe for 2-3 people.
Double as many times as necessary.
1 apple, grannysmith makes the tangiest.
Any apple will do.
Slice apple into wedges, peel if desired.
(I use the apple slicer, then peel the wedges, and layer each in thirds)
In a heavy round cake pan, (two fitted together if thin)
spray or coat with cooking spray, layer apple slices.
Use any juice around,(apple, orange, cranberry, wine, etc)
just cover to 2/3rd's depth of apples. (about 2/3 cup liquid)
Layer with topping, dot with butter.
Bake @ 375° until lightly golden brown and bubbly.
(about 15-20 mins).
Serve hot or cold.
Topping:
Equal parts of Bisquick, brown sugar, and white sugar.
For the above single serving, 1 tablespoon of each mixed by hand in a bowl.
Options:
Chopped nuts sprinkled after the butter,
Slight hint of cinnamon over apples before the topping.
Enjoy,
