In Sunday's NYT, this article by Leslie Kaufman, tells of the interesting findings by Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, a neuro-scientist at Harvard's brain research center, when she suffered a stroke that shut down the left side of her brain. She now advocates that we can find peace and overcome anger by teaching our right brain to master the left brain such as dealing with anger by thinking of a person or event that brought you happiness. The link, if it works, will take you to the 18 minute video of the talk she gave at the February Technology, Entertainment & Desigh conference, the annual forum for presenting innovative scientific ideas. If the link fails, you can find it by Googling her name and finding a reference to the talk. Since we all are trying to cope with increasing stress, I wanted to share this as a possible tool to maybe make our lives a little better. Tom
