Oh... that's a very interesting tidbit of the Apex-White relationship.

White Sewing Machine Co. of Cudell, OH did in fact become WCI (White Consolidated Industries) in 1964 after they began aquiring other appliance and home-product companies. I believe I have heard that the Apex Company closed it's doors rather abruptly around 1958-59.
