While hashing through old TV memories this evening, we've stumbled on a nagging question that neither of us can remember the answer to...those "of a certain age" might be able to pick it out of the ether:

Nancy Kulp (known to most as Miss Jane Hathaway on Beverly Hillbillies) was in some movie or some TV series appearance, and in this movie/appearance, her character was seen to sweep her front porch whilst singing Stephen Foster's "Beautiful Dreamer" at the top of her lungs, to great comic effect.

What is this scene from????

I don't think it's from a Hillibllies episode...TIA!

Yah, IMBD has her in at least one Twilight Zone, but I think this was from some sort of Western, as I think she's saying "good morning" to a sheriff or other town official who walks by as she's singing and sweeping this wooden porch. It was definitely in black and white, more than likely from the fifties or very early sixties, before the Hillbillies.

No idea why this scene stuck in my head, but I figured it might ring a bell with somebody here...IMBD is great, but has its limits. I never knew that she was in as many movies as she was! She was even in "Shane", which I haven't seen in years...now we'll have to Netflix that one.

...of course, that's s'posed to be "IMDB" not IMBD...(Internet Movie BataDase?)...d'oh!
