I just posted a new issue of Electrical Merchandising (Nov 1954) into the Ephemera Library. What really caught my attention in this issue was a double page ad for the Hotpoint Automatic Washer. It shows it having a window lid!!! I have never seen any other picture or evidence of a window lid ever being put into a Hotpoint washer before. I wonder if this ever made it to market like this? Not that a Hotpoint automatic needs a window lid as there is no safety switch and it's not a particularly splashy machine overall, but interesting none the less.
Particularly interesting articles in this issue:
What Can You Do With Washer Trade-ins
An Old Technique Sells Modern Dishwashers
An Automatic In Every Home
New Products announces the 1955 Frigidaire Washer and Dryer Line
