Ace detergent

I happened to be near the detergent section at the local grocery this evening, and noticed a new item -- Ace in bags. Had a sticker indicating Mexico as the place of manufacture. Must be a version of Tide? The brand logo on the bag is a yellow/red bullseye target, like Tide.

They also have Ariel OxyAzul in what apparently is a different scent. Didn't look that close at it.

Same formula as the American Ariel according to the MSDS site I looked up "Ariel" when it first came out.

Hmm. That's weird, then. Duplication. Or triplication, in effect. They have on the shelves: box Tide, bag Ariel, bag Ace.

Fromula's, but not by much. Ace has celluase enzyeme while Ariel does not.

Mexican Ace

Hey Glenn!

I was at HEB in Midland a few weeks ago and found some ACE detergent. I bought it, and have used it on one load so far in my Maytag TL. From the P&G Mexico Web site, Ace is a step down from Mexican Ariel. In fact, when I compared the ingredients of the two, the only difference was that Mexican Ariel has additional brightening agents listed on the ingredient list. It seemed to clean very well, and didn't have the strong floral fragrance like the Ariel does. And just like Ariel, Ace has phosphates and optical brighteners.

By the way, can you get Ariel Bajaespuma (low-sudsing) where you live? We can't get it in this part of the state.

D'oh!! Can't believe I didn't put two and two together...Baja Espuma=low suds!!

In other news, I've seen Ace (will have to pick some up) and Ariel OxiAzul (OxyBlue), but not this version. Pero desde mis experiencias, Ariel Regular no tiene mucha espuma, aun en el Dual-Tumble...

Es muy bien que Ariel Regular no tiene mucha espuma in la lavadora ventanilla, pero Ace tiene MUCHA ESPUMA in mi Maytag TL! Actualmente, este es la razon que uso mi Maytag a veces... porque me gusta usar detergentes Mexicanas y no puedo usarlos in mi lavadora ventanilla.

Foca y Roma tienen espuma. Mucha espuma.

Pues, Foca (cual es "alta espuma"...estoy usándolo ahora) no tiene mucha espuma en mi Maytag con un Power-Fin, pero cuando usé Roma y Foca juntos en el Dual-Tumble con unas sábanas, ¡la espuma cubrió el piso y estaba muy difícil para limpiar! El GE Dispensall, cuando tuvo el Straight-Vane Activator, hizo mucha espuma con Foca también. Ahora, con lavados grandes, el Ramp Activator hace menos espuma.

Foca y Roma son detergentes muy buenos. ¡Ojalá que no hicieran mucha espuma!

Usas Roma junto con Foca?

Cuantos usalos de cada? Usalos en tus prendas de colores oscuros, or solos en las prendas blancas y claras? Me gusta usar Ariel, Roma, Foca y Ace, pero tengo miedo a usarlos en mis prendas de colores oscuros. No quiero desteñirse mi ropa! Que usas en tus prendas de colores oscuros?

BTW, tienes fotos de tus lavadoras? Quiero mirar a tu Ramp Activator, GE Dispensall, Dual-Tumble (mi favorito!), el Power-Fin in tu Maytag, y tu nuevo Unimatic por supesto!
