I, the other day, had a man that is a long time customer of mine call me to pick up his old washer. Upon arriving at his house I found a rather newer model Admiral Mega 22 washer. He said tha tit had gave out on him. I got it home and washed in it for several days with no problem. Then about the 10th load of clothes I ran thru it, it stoppped pumping and would seem to not spin fast enough to pump the water. I thought the motor was on its way out but it was ok. I laid it over on its front and saw that the machine was pretty much the same design as Maytags and Magic Chefs if my memory serves me correct. Keep in mind that I don't service newer Maytags at all. so i'm dumb to them. I , out of curiosity, sprayed some air tool conditioner that is put out by the same people who make PB brand penetrating oil. The conditioner has Dextron in in by the way. Well after soaking the clutch/brake as I call the thing. Which is under a plastic cap in the middle of the trannie pully. After soaking it for 2 hours, I never had another problem out of it. Anyone here ever had this problem? Is it common to these machines and is there any prevention to such occurrances? Please excuse my typing and spelling, kinda in a hurry here. Bad storms on the way.
