Comet Service
Hi Guys.
On the 6th July 2010 I phoned Comet to say my 6 month Bosch washer has broken down. On the 8th July 2 Comet engineers came out to repair my machine. One of the engineers sprayed wd40 into the door interlock, then poked it with a screwdriver. The engineers said it would need a new door interlock and would order one. One of the engineers wanted to put a Hoover door interlock, but the other engineer said it was to big.
On the 14th July the Comet engineers was suppose to fix the door interlock on my machine. On the 13 July I received a phone call from Comet saying they can not get hold of the part, and would phone me when it arrives. I said I was not happy with this as it is a first repair. The comet customer service said it is quite normal to wait 14 days for their enginers to repair any appliance.
I then engaged a Which Magazine Legal Team who told me what steps to take. Once Comet found out about Which Legal Team they said they would do their best to speed up the repair.
On the 19th July 2 Comet engineers came to repair my machine.
I received an email from Bosch saying they have a service aggrement with Comet, and Bosch do not repair any Bosch machines bought from Comet.
It is a good job I do not have a big family as I was so long without a machine, 6th July - 19th July.
