All these washer comparisons going on, I thought I'd throw my own out there!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I LOVE the cleaning ability of the Unimatic 2-ringer, and could care less about tangling. If I have a stained article of clothing, pretreat it, and throw it in there with 1/2 cup of detergent, the stain will be gone by the end of the cycle. Some of my shirts have had strange "oil spots" on them, which disappear after one washing in the WO-65-2, though the GE Combo is no slouch either when it comes to stain removal, surprisingly!

Due to an oil leak from the spin trip shaft, it's currently out-of-service (sigh) but hopefully it will be back up and running over the Christmas holidays.

Hey .....

If anyone's interested..(jamie)e.g. there is a 1968 Kenmore 800 series washer at the Salvation Army over between State Street and Industrial Ave in Ann Arbor. It's complete in good condition, and just missing the bleach dispenser.

Best of all it's a suds saver and all the inner mechanicals to make that feature work are there including the two drain hose connections at the upper right hand corner as you face the rear of the machine!
