Am I the only one who thinks this auction ridiculous/eBay?

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Yikes !!

Jeff can fill in the facts, but someone got taken on that one! Ugly replacement bag and cord. They made 100s of thousands of these I believe and many are still available in good shape with the attachments. I have one. Someone wanted a 63 real bad without doing some homework.

Even more ridiculous is that the reserve STILL hadn't been met by the time it ended!!

That bag sure does look horrible as well! In my opinion, this particular 63 would be best suited to someone wanting one of these for their "daily driver" and not for permanent display. But even then, it's still a high price to pay for that even...

well it looks nice

But the bag and cord are bojack, and as Fred stated, there ae tons of these still out there.
This is just another greedy jerk trying to make a buck off a collector.

This is just too silly

I agree with what has been posted by Jeff and Fred...they made TONS of these many are still in use in my area. I have seen so many with the tools, box, and original equiptment over the years. Why this one went for so much...who knows. The seller should have taken the high bid...makes me wonder what the reserve was. Oh well...I am sure I will find two or three of them at the flea market for $10 apiece! After all you just never know what you will find out there! Ebay is not everything.

One in a Million?!?!?

I've got two fabulous model 63's, plus about 3 or 4 that are in rubbermaid bins, in pieces--parts machines...

Ha! One in a Million....

I had one of those years ago-one of my first vacs-now wished I kept it.Whats with the "sparkleies" in the pictures-is the seller trying to make it look like you are on LSD or something?Whats a "Roto-Brush"?Didn't think Hoover made such a thing-and that funny BOJACK bag??And $381 for this---Oh boy!!!Leave "E-Rook" alone and look elsewhere. The Hoover I had that was similar had the cloth Hoover dump bag.

Ugly replacement bag and cord

there is a word that the young people are using nowadays. Fugly. I think it applies in this instance.

At this stage hope some poor buyer doesn't get stuck with that machine--and its BOJACK parts--funny how we didn't see a picture of the underside-and its RotoBrush!Bet that machine has a BOJACK brushroll too!

Looked again-silly me-they did have a picture of the underside--WOW!what a shiny brush roll-see what looks like wire buffer wheel marks on it-and these are sort of hidden by the "sparklies" effect-and I swear if you look closely--looks you you see a year 1972 on the bottom of the fancase-that machine may not be as old as he thinks.Look and see what you think. And you don't get to see the condition of the beater bars on the roll-bet its BOJACK.

Saturday morning yard sale find !!!!!!!

Just got back from a yard sale and the big find today was a Hoover model 63 for a whopping $3.00 !!!!! Of course this little guy needs a good cleaning but the best part it that it came with the attachment box and the veriflex hose and the wands with the blue button locks! The cord has been replaced as has the bag. But the attachments alone made this vacuum worth snatching up!

Ugly

I love the term Fugly! Also use the trems:

"U"gly pronounced You Glee

Ugully pronounced Uh gully
