At least, it's a Custom Deluxe, so it has 4 regular burners with regular infinite switches that aren't hard to find. The worst problem would be a bad drawer safety switch...
I just took a break after spending a few hours repairing a Heat Minder and trying two used Speed Heat switches on a 1959 Custom Imperial range that had it's burners converted to regular infinite switches. The first Speed Heat switch I installed flashes on 236V and then nothing! The second one flashes on 236V too and after that (it releases the cam just like the other one), it starts cycling on 236V instead of 118 volts (not too good for the 118V burner I guess!). I don't understand why/how that happens...
Now, I think I'm ready to get my only new-in-box Speed Heat switch to see it it works (I'll have to reuse the cover and cam of the old one on the new switch as the 1959 starts on HIGH rather than SIM...). I don't have a lot of experience with these as here the Speed Heat feature was discontinued in 1959 here, so not too many ranges have it... The only other range I have with this feature is a self-cleaning Comptact 30 that SteveD gave me and I also needed to replace the Speed Heat switch on that range (contacts were fused together in this one).
3 AM Edit!
I guess I am a bit tired! The contacts were sticking in the second switch and other were dirty in the first one. Both are working now! So I'll save the NOS switch for the another time!
Now all I need to do is to reassemble the back cover and find oven racks for it as I have two ovens but just one rack!
