Sorry to hear Tx. former Governor, Ann Richards lost her battle with cancer. I always thought she had class, and could pop a tasteful wise crack, with the best of em. I was sorry to learn of her death. Texans is there another bright star in the sky tonight? What a LADY... alr2903

Oh what a terrible shame, I'm sorry to hear about this. I was not aware she was ill. Always enjoyed seeing her on TV. What a wonderful President she would have made!

Back in the early '90s when Ann Richards was governor, and my mom had a special occasion/function to attend and she did her hair "tall", she used to joke that it was her "Ann Richards Texas party hair". Tomorrow she'll be doing her hair like that again, just for Ann.

Ann Richards will be missed. She was a definite class act.

This is the first news I have heard of this. I actually worked for her election campaign back in the 80's and actually had the opportunity to meet her once. What a unforgetable person! I am so sorry to hear of this news.
That hair of hers could withstand a hurricane! If anyone remembers her inaugeration in Austin, it was held outdoors and the wind was really blowing. Not a hair on her head moved. That was some serious Aqua-Net action going on there!
She contributed so much to Texas, especially the educational system which was her favorite thing of all. She will be missed by a lot of people!

I saw the late Ms. Richards last night on the tube.

She seems like a real class act.

RIP, Ms. Richards.

I Loved Ann Richards

She said when she died that she didn't want the only thing said about her "She kept a clean house."

She also said "Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did only backwards and in high heels."

She was great!
